Issue Two Submission Call Open Between August 15th, 2025 and October 15th, 2025. See below for details!

For Issue Two, guest edited by Dr. Michael Iwama, Winnow Literary seeks poetry submissions that reflect the full range of the human experience with occupation across the lifespan.

We invite submissions from all writers:  new, emerging, or established. Occupational therapy practitioners, occupational therapy faculty, and OT/OTA students are encouraged to submit, as well as clients, patients, and past, present, or future consumers of occupational therapy services. Interprofessional health care providers, and writers-at-large are also highly encouraged to submit.

Please send 1-3 poems in the body of an email or as an attachment to winnowliterary@gmail.com with the subject line “Poetry Submission”. Please include a brief biography (written in third-person format) along with your submission. If your work is accepted, we request first serial publication rights in a digital format. There is no fee to submit. We are unable to provide payment for your poetry but we will strive to promote your work in the literary community.

Simultaneous submissions (sending your work to another journal while awaiting a response from us) is fine, but please do let us know as soon as possible if your work is accepted elsewhere. All submitted poems should be otherwise unpublished. We request that you please do not use generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) as part of the writing or editing process.

Our editorial team is committed to adapting our submissions process as needed to support individual needs or disability accommodations. If the submission process presents barriers to your access please reach out to us at WinnowLiterary@gmail.com. Our editorial team will begin reviewing submissions in October, 2025, and we aim to reply within 2-4 months of that timeframe.

We look forward to reading your work!
